AQUA
Our Mission: Bridging the gap between theoretical algorithms
and real-world experiments to accelerate the deployment of useful
quantum information technology.
Our Idiom: Distributed quantum computing systems.
Our Work Areas:
- Devices: Quantum Dots with Optically-controlled Spins
(QuDOS) architecture, Racetrack architecture
- Principles: layered architectures, quantum multicomputer
paradigm, graph embedding, quantum picturalism, beyond DiVincenzo
criteria
- Tools: compilers, optimizers, visualizations, and analysis
tools such as Quantomatic and our own Aqua Tools
- Workloads: efficient, architecture-aware implementation of
arithmetic, quantum simulation algorithms; IPsec using QKD-generated keys
- Networks to tie them all together: quantum recursive
network architecture (QRNA), path selection, multiplexing, protocol design,
low-level repeater optimization
Underlying all of those areas is work on quantum error management,
including purification and especially the 2-D form of the surface code.
